A large, mostly evergreen tree, Yang Na provides both valuable timber and resin. Its resin has many uses: making glue, waterproofing wood, boat caulking, starting fires, or even as fuel. The moderately hard wood is ideal for construction, furniture, and plywood. Around its base, edible mushrooms often grow, making Yang Na an important economic tree in Thailand.
