A medium-sized deciduous tree that sheds its leaves in the dry season. Its large blossoms, white or pale pink, open at night with long, feathery stamens like delicate tassels. The tree also bears big round fruits with a sweet-sour taste that can be eaten. In Thai, it is also known by other names such as Pui or Hoo Kwang.
